Socailly Awkward Chapter 1

  I sat on my bed with embarrassing outer space sheets that I got when I was seven. I had a pencil in my hand and a notebook in the other. I was writing a poem about Gwen. if you were asking, Gwen is the most beautiful girl in the 9th grade, she was sweet and shy. I moved my brown hair away from my eye, ugh, I hate when my hair gets in my face. I closed the notebook and slide it under my bed.

  The problem in this story is, I am completely socially awkward. if some one asks "Do you know where the bathroom is?" I would say "Uh, um, eh, I, uh, don't, eh, know..." yes, I make the worst relies. Oh, I didn't tell you my name yet, I'm Finn Yelnats. why couldn't my mom just name me Stanly? then I would be Stanly Yelnats, just to let you know, Yelnats is Stanley backwards. Anyway, back to real life.

  I woke up and went to school. my favorite song was blaring in my earphones as I walked to school. I seen Gwen running behind me. "Oh god, is she going to tackle me!" I said in my mind. Gwen stopped when she got to me. "Hi, Finn!" she said and smiled. she had a flower halo on her head. the colors were dark and dull. it went well with her black and straight hair. she had pale skin and minty eyes. "How, do you know my name?" I replied quickly. I sworn I never told her that before. 

  "My friends pointed to you and told me to talk to you..." she said. she smiled again and looked down at her feet. "I don't bite," I replied quickly again. I pulled out my earphones. "I don't either, but I hear you're kind of shy, like me. if you want to talk to me, you're always welcome." she said. then she ran backwards back to her group of two friends. "I guess this is a start..." I said to myself.
